Live Extraordinary
In July, over 20,000 Herbalife Nutrition Independent Distributors came together in Detroit, Michigan, for our first in-person Herbalife Nutrition Extravaganza since 2019! Being with the Herbalife Nutrition family under one roof again was electrifying, and it was filled with so many unforgettable moments. From dancing to Pitbull and raising over US$120,000 for the Herbalife Nutrition Foundation (HNF), to celebrating over 6,000 pin changes on Recognition Night, this was an amazing event! And it was even more inspiring to see the energy from Extravaganza continue to grow at the October Leadership Development Weekends (LDW) across North America. Please continue to bring that energy and excitement to our remaining in-person events, including local Success Training Seminars (STS), and into 2023 at the January Kickoff events and Future President’s Team Retreat. Ask your Sponsor about them! It feels great to be back together and it reminds me of one of my favorite quotes from business philosopher and motivational speaker Jim Rohn: “If two or three agree on a common purpose, nothing is impossible." Keep that in mind as you continue to drive your business forward and help others achieve their goals. Thank you for all of your accomplishments so far this year – and it’s not over yet! I look forward to seeing you achieve more during these final months of 2022 and setting yourself up for even greater success in 2023. Enjoy this Today magazine issue. Warm regards,

START QUIZ
Which macronutrient do you need for balanced nutrition and weight loss?
Protein
Carbohydrates
Explanation: Protein, carbohydrates and fats are The Big Three macronutrients your body needs to help you feel good and lose weight. Protein helps to build muscle and curb your appetite. Carbohydrates help your body function properly by serving as the primary fuel for your brain and red blood cells. Your body also needs beneficial fats because they have essential fatty acids that your body can’t make, so you must eat them or you can opt to take a supplement. Overall, Herbalife Nutrition recommends a 40/30/30 split among carbohydrates, protein and fats respectively.

Explanation: Herbalife Nutrition recommends replacing two meals a day with a Formula 1 shake, eating one additional balanced meal and snacking in between to keep you on track for healthy weight loss.* Since everyone is different, you’re encouraged to personalize Formula 1 shakes to your taste and needs. For example, if you find snacking or overeating to be a challenge, add Prolessa Duo one time per day to your Formula 1 shake to help reduce body fat.

*People who replace two meals a day with Herbalife Nutrition Formula 1 as part of a healthy lifestyle (such as lowering caloric intake, eating a healthy, balanced diet or engaging in regular physical activity), can generally expect to lose around half a pound to 1 pound per week. These statements have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration. This product is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease. Prolessa Duo is only available in the U.S. and Puerto Rico.

*These results are not typical. Individual results will vary.
Explanation: Snacking can be an effective way to help you reach your weight-loss goal. Not only does it help control your appetite between meals, but it can also help you avoid an energy crash. Unlike sugary foods or refined carbohydrates, the carbohydrates from foods like fruits and vegetables take longer to digest. Instead of causing a big blood sugar spike, the glucose from these foods enters the bloodstream at a slower rate and helps provide more sustained energy over a longer period of time. You could also add Snack Defense to your weight-management program to help keep post-meal blood sugar peaks within the normal range.*

150 minutes
Question 4/5
Explanation: Regular exercise is important for supporting good health, weight management and well-being. The recommended amount of exercise time to lose weight is a total of 150 minutes per week of moderately intense exercise. Not a gym person? No problem. Get moving with a dance or fitness class, walking or hiking, bicycling or another activity you enjoy.
200 minutes
How many minutes per week should you work out to encourage weight loss?
Explanation: It can be frustrating to see your progress stall, but it’s a common occurrence for people trying to lose weight. When you cut back on your calories, your body thinks there won’t be any more coming in, so it slows down the rate in which you burn them. Your normal metabolic rate drops a bit, and even though it’s not much, it’s often enough to stall your weight loss. Use this as an opportunity to evaluate what you’ve been doing and adjust your healthy eating and/or fitness routine.

Fueling Football’s Newest Superstar
Herbalife Nutrition sponsored pro football player Kyle Hamilton made a huge splash this spring as the highest-picked safety in the 2022 NFL Pro Football Draft. After a brilliant university career at Notre Dame, Kyle prepared for his big moment by committing to an intense pre-draft workout program at Proactive Sports. Herbalife Nutrition products, combined with the sports science and advanced training at Proactive Sports, helped to make Kyle’s dream of playing football at the highest level a reality. Now, as Kyle kicks off his rookie season in Baltimore, all eyes will be on Team Herbalife Nutrition’s newest superstar!
Banded Face Pulls – Start standing with feet hip width apart, anchor your resistance band to a sturdy foundation somewhere between forehead and eyebrow height. Bend knees as if you are about to perform a squat and stay there to add resistance to your band. Proceed to pull band toward face. As you are pulling toward face, simultaneously pull the band apart. Each end of the band should end up by your ears. Make sure you are engaging your shoulder blades (rear delts) as you squeeze into your back. If you don’t have a sturdy or safe anchor for your resistance band, try Seated Banded Rows. Seated Banded Row – Start seated with legs straight out in front of you, position your resistance band around your feet. Pull band in a rowing motion squeezing your shoulder blades toward each other making sure not to shrug upward, but rather backward. Perform 3 sets of 10 to 15

Think You Can Keep Up with Kyle?
Ever wonder what a pro football workout looks like? Try the workout regimen that helped Kyle take his game to the next level.

1. Weighted Chain Pullups Muscles worked: Back 2. Weighted Chain Plank Muscles worked: Core 3. Standing Barbell Press Muscles worked: Shoulders and Core 4. Cable Push Pull Muscles worked: Core, Back and Chest
5. Single Leg Hamstring Row Muscles worked: Legs, Glutes, Back and Core 6. Swiss Ball Cable Lateral Front Raise Combo Muscles worked: Core and Shoulders 7. Cable Squat Row Muscles worked: Glutes, Quads & Back
Of course, not everyone is at a pro football level of fitness, and even fewer of us have access to facilities like the ones at Proactive Sports. So we’ve asked Herbalife Nutrition Fitness Specialist of Sports Performance & Fitness Education Denise Cervantes to create a modified version of Kyle’s workout that can be done at home with simple exercise bands.
Pretty intense, right?
“Remember, this is YOUR workout. If you’re feeling it… go for it. If you’re not, keep at it. The point is to move.”

Kyle’s Modified Workout
Banded Renegade Pushups
Banded Reverse Lunge Row
Standing Single Arm Banded Lateral Raise
Hold a body weight plank squeezing abs and glutes. Can be done on elbows, where elbows are set under the shoulders and toes are engaged (set hip width apart) as the other contact point to the ground. You can also hold a high plank (hands and toes) or a modified plank (hands and knees). Hold for 20 seconds, up to 1 minute and repeat 3 to 5 times
In a kneeling position, anchor band underneath knees. Hold each end of the band with each hand in a military press position. Press the band up making sure to hold core tight and keep glutes engaged. Push the arms up overhead and straighten them to get to the top part of each rep, then lower down to start position with control. If this is too hard, anchor one end of your resistance band under one knee and do one arm at a time. Perform 3 sets of 10 to 15 (each arm if doing single arm)
Start in a high plank position (can also be done modified on knees) with your resistance band anchored under both hands, grabbing the band with one hand and anchoring the band with the other, perform a single arm row. Continue with a row in the other hand. After rowing once with each hand do one pushup. One rep will be row left, row right, and pushup. Perform 3 sets or 5 to 8 reps
Start in standing position with your resistance band anchored to a sturdy foundation, make sure it is set somewhere between bellybutton and hip height. Perform a single leg reverse lunge (with tension on the band) and as you come into your standing position, pull on band in a single arm row fashion, squeezing your back. Perform 3 sets of 10 to 15 reps on both legs
Start in a standing position with feet shoulder width apart, stand on your resistance band with your left foot to anchor it, hold onto the other side of the band with your left hand. With a straight arm and tight core lift your arm laterally without bending at the elbow or the waist. Lift only up to shoulder height and control it back down to start position. Perform 3 sets of 10 to 15 reps on both sides
Start in a bottom squat position with legs hip width apart, knees bent, anchor your resistance band lower than knee height, perform your squat and then pull the band as you stand up to your high squat position squeezing your back. If you do not have an anchor point for your band, use your feet – step on your band with both feet and pull up into a high row (elbows high and hands at neck height) when you stand up to your high squat position, this will work glutes, quads and shoulders. Perform 3 sets of 15 to 20 reps

Since 1980, our success has been built on improving communities. See what steps we’re taking to provide life-changing opportunities that support healthy communities, economic empowerment, and a thriving planet.
by 2030
As a global company, we’re committed to nourishing the health of both people and the planet. We believe that everyone – all 7 billion of us – deserves a world that offers access to nutritious food, economic opportunities, and clean air and water. This commitment is something that consumers also expect from us. In fact, 68% of consumers around the world said they trust companies that act with society’s best interests in mind. That’s a 9% increase from 2020.* And in the U.S., more than half (56%) look for information about a brand’s sustainability practice when contemplating a purchase. To continue growing as a strong and trustworthy company, we developed a Global Responsibility strategy that seeks to make a difference in three meaningful ways:
As Mark Hughes (1956–2000) Herbalife Nutrition Founder and First Distributor said,

50 x 50 Campaign
To drive progress, we’ve set a goal to achieve 50 million positive impacts by 2030, the 50th Anniversary of Herbalife Nutrition. Positive impacts are actions and results that are tangible, measurable and contribute to our goals to nourishing people, communities, and the planet. We are committed to achieve these positive impacts through acts like recycling, reducing our waste and footprint, donating meals to those in need or volunteering in local communities. Each action adds up and everyone has a role to play in helping achieve our goal. Look at all positive impacts we achieved across our three core pillars between 2020 and 2021:
Nutrition for Zero Hunger
Another way that we’re dedicated to improving the lives of children and communities around the world is through our Nutrition for Zero Hunger (NFZH) initiative. NFZH is dedicated to tackling the global challenges of hunger, food insecurity, and malnutrition. To accomplish this goal, we’ve partnered with leading international, regional and local nonprofit organizations, including World Food Program USA, Feed the Children, The Hunger Project and more.
As a company focused on nourishing the world, we are proud to partner with organizations that recognize and share our passion for making a difference in the communities we serve. Keep scrolling to see how we recently joined forces with two of our sports sponsorships partners to help make positive and lasting impacts in youth and local communities.
To provide communities with more access to healthy activities like basketball, we teamed up with one of our sports nutrition partners, IMPACT Basketball, to lead a free basketball clinic for Detroit-area children at the Youth Center Facility in Eastpointe, Michigan. Based in Las Vegas, Nevada, IMPACT is one of the most prestigious basketball training programs in the country, having trained hundreds of elite basketball players – from high school and college standouts to professional basketball MVPs. The August 2022 clinic focused on the four pillars of basketball, including skill development, strength and conditioning, nutrition, and mental training. The children also learned about the important role of nutrition in sports, such as staying hydrated and eating balanced meals. "The more youth we reach, the more impact we have on those in the community to want to embrace healthier and more active lifestyles," said Joe Abunassar, Founder and President of IMPACT Basketball.
We believe that every child deserves equal access to a quality education. That’s why we joined the LA Galaxy to support A Place Called Home for its annual Back to School event for South Los Angeles. Together, we handed out nearly 1,500 backpacks filled with school essentials such as pencils, crayons, rulers, notebooks, calculators, and pens as well as eco-friendly Herbalife Nutrition and LA Galaxy-branded lunch bags and water bottles. Each of these 1,500 backpacks represents an impact that moves us closer to our goal of 50 million by 2030.

See Their Stories
Though these Distributors come from different backgrounds and have little in common, they share the same admirable traits as role models: resourcefulness, leadership and the desire to help others. Each on different journeys, they’ve charted their own paths to success and are leading the way for others to do the same.
Rebecca
I was born and raised in England. I originally came to America to get my commercial pilot’s license when I was 22. I got my license, went back to the U.K., took all the necessary exams… and then realized that I actually didn’t want to be a pilot. After that I had almost every job that you could imagine; I’ve worked for an investment group in London, I was in all-female bands, I had done club promotions, worked for an advertising agency, really trying out a lot of different things. Then I got a job doing workout videos on a YouTube channel, which was what I was doing when I discovered Herbalife Nutrition in 2013.
Find Your Everest.
Can you walk us through your story and how you got to where you are today?
I saw a social media post from a guy who I had worked with in London and he was now selling Herbalife Nutrition products. I reached out to ask him about it and he ended up introducing me to the couple that would become my Sponsors.
How did you get started with Herbalife Nutrition?
"Never take advice from someone you wouldn’t trade places with."
It was 2019 and I was in the middle of writing my book, and I felt like I needed to do something that showed that I had grit. I’m always telling people to step outside of their comfort zones, but the last time I had stepped out of my own was when I was learning to fly airplanes. We had a tagline that was “Find Your Everest.” Meaning, what is the thing that you’ve been so scared to do? Maybe it’s opening a Nutrition Club or speaking to the person that you know at the gym. I wanted to take people on a journey where I was open and transparent about what it feels like to literally stand on the top of the world. And of course I wanted to let the world know that I was using Herbalife Nutrition products during the summit. I wanted to be a good role model and represent the brand. And it was a very proud moment for me to stand on the summit of Mount Everest with the Herbalife24 banner.
What was it that inspired you to summit Mount Everest?
When I came back from Everest I thought “What mountain is next?” I’m very excited about where our team is going right now. We have people from 40 different countries that log on to our team training once a week. So I’m really growing toward Chairman’s Club, working toward my Five Diamonds. That’s what I’m really focused on right now.
Looking ahead, what are your goals for the future?
"Wow. I have found the thing that’s going to be able to help me get to where I want to be."
That I always did what I said I was going to do. At 22 years old I said I was going to go to America and learn how to fly airplanes. And when I started Herbalife Nutrition I said I was going to be a President’s Team member. I would hope that people would say, “Rebecca was someone who, when she said she was going to do something, she always did.”
What do you want your personal legacy to be?
"Rebecca was someone who, when she said she was going to do something, she always did."
Atypical achievements shown from this Top 1% Distributor came from hard work, skill and dedication. Most people work part-time and typically earn around $200 in a month in their 1st year, before expenses. For more, see Herbalife.com/SAGC.
like to do things halfway, so I knew that if I committed to it, I was going all in.
When I was 21, I got a tattoo on my foot that says “Every Step Counts.” I had no way of knowing at the time that I was ever going to climb Mount Everest. But every single step I took to summit Mount Everest counted. Not one of those steps could be taken out. The same thing applies if you’re trying to get to the President’s Team. Every single invitation is a step. Every time you’re able to go to an event. Every time you follow up with a customer. You can add all of these up into steps that are going to help you get to President’s Team. Some steps are going to feel like they’re bigger than others, and some are going to be this tiny little pivot. But all of those steps count.
Anything else you’d like to share about your experience?
One day, I was scrolling on social media when I saw a post from an old college buddy of mine. He shared his before and after photos and because his results were amazing, I had to know what he was doing. I reached out and he told me he’d been using Herbalife Nutrition. Being from a small town, I’d never heard of Herbalife Nutrition before, but I was desperate for change and was willing to try anything. I know my past as a football player makes me extremely coachable, so anything my buddy told me to do, I did it. I followed his plans exactly, and not too long after that, I lost about 15 pounds.* I was stoked! I fell in love with the Formula 1 shakes, which made sticking to a meal plan so much easier. I remember thinking, “If I lost that much weight just by focusing on my nutrition, how much more could I lose if I buckled down and actually worked out.” I committed to exercising more while maintaining my healthy eating, and after another month, I was still getting amazing results. I loved that new way of life and ended up dropping over 132 pounds and 10 pant sizes in about a year. Now, years later, I’m the fittest I’ve been – 160 pounds and 16 pant sizes down. Like I said, I came to Herbalife Nutrition because I was desperate for a change – a weight-loss change, a physical change, but not necessarily a career change. I loved my previous career as a nuclear power engineer, but I always wondered if I could somehow make more of an impact. I was first drawn to the Herbalife Nutrition business opportunity when I attended a January Kickoff event and heard incredible testimonies of people who had made huge changes in their lives and were helping others do the same, all on their own time, as their own boss. That’s when it all clicked.
paycheck to paycheck for a long time, but I’ve kept my faith and gained a new understanding of my own self-worth.

Herbalife Nutrition was the first thing that came into my life that was something tangible that I could put my energy and focus into because I finally had the mentorship that I could trust. It was the first time in my life that I thought, “Wow. I have found the thing that’s going to be able to help me get to where I want to be.”
What was it about Nutrition Clubs that appealed to you?
“Never take advice from someone you wouldn’t trade places with.” That really stuck with me. When you’re at the beginning, there are always going to be people second-guessing you and offering up their opinions on what they think you should be doing. And unless they already have the life that you want, think carefully before listening to them.
What’s the best business advice you’ve received while being a Distributor?
I do a lot of work with a charity called Four Paws that rescues animals from human captivity. I’m about to travel to Kosovo, Bulgaria, Switzerland and Vietnam to visit a lot of their sanctuaries to raise awareness on animal welfare.
What do you do when you aren’t focusing on the business?
about personal development and healthy habits was truly a game changer.

Global Expansion Team
President’s Team
I was born and raised in England. I originally came to America to get my commercial pilot’s license when I was 22. I got my license, went back to the U.K., took all the necessary exams… and then realized that I actually didn’t want to be a pilot. After that I had almost every job that you could imagine; I worked for an investment group in London, I was in all-female bands, I did club promotions, worked for an advertising agency – really tried out a lot of different things. Then I got a job doing workout videos on a YouTube channel, which was what I was doing when I discovered Herbalife Nutrition in 2013.
JAMES
I graduated from film school in 2008 and found myself caught in a “gig lifestyle” – acting, rapping, bartending, doing anything I could just to make ends meet. My wife, Deanna, and I wanted to settle down and start a family, but city life didn’t truly align with those goals, so we moved out of Toronto and bought a house in the spring of 2015 in Penetanguishene, a small town where we’re proud to now be making a huge impact.
I’m here to help people remove excuses from their vocabulary
We were introduced to Herbalife Nutrition in June 2015 by my mom and sister, who had been participating in Wellness Challenges and were feeling great, with more energy. Deanna was initially attracted to the results and I, of course, wanted to be a supportive husband. Little did I know that seven years later, at 40 years old, I would be in the best shape of my life! Over the years, I not only focused on good nutrition and regular exercise, I also committed to personal development and changing my philosophy and mindset. From the beginning, I recognized that Herbalife Nutrition was bigger than anything else I’d ever been a part of. I saw the opportunity to make a difference in people’s lives and to positively change my own in the process.
"It’s important to remember that everything happens for us not to us, so we keep pressing forward, spreading positivity"
I had a close friend who was in a similar life position to where I’d once been – stuck in a cycle, unable to kick bad habits – and I wanted to get him set up on a program, but unfortunately, I never got the chance. His passing in 2021 was an eye-opener for me because that’s the direction my life could have taken. I think of him every day and it drives me to do more and help as many people as possible. I think about the fact that all the things I loved about bartending – connecting with customers, listening to people, making them feel seen – are the things I get to do daily in our Nutrition Club, only now I’m serving them drinks and nutrition that support their health and wellness rather than the opposite.
What are some of the challenges you’ve faced along the way and how have they shaped you into who you are today?
"In a world where others are stepping on each other to get ahead, it feels good to be a part of a community that’s holding its hands out to help lift others up"
We’re proud to have taken our business full time pretty early on, and since have remained committed to building it and are blessed to spread positivity through it. It’s so satisfying to know that someone could be having the worst day, but when they leave our Nutrition Club, they’re leaving with a smile. In a world where others are stepping on each other to get ahead, it feels good to be a part of a community that’s holding its hands out to help lift others up.
Tell us about your Herbalife Nutrition business. What are you most proud of as a Distributor and what sets you apart from others?
"Little did I know that seven years later, at 40 years old, I would be in the best shape of my life!"
My goals are enormous; most people can’t even comprehend them, but I know with vision and diligence, I’ll accomplish everything I set out to do. Outside of running my successful Herbalife Nutrition business, I’m also a family man, an actor, a rapper, a fighter, a volunteer firefighter, I’m on the board for the junior hockey team, and I’m running for town council. I’ve definitely got my hands full, but at the heart of everything is the desire to help others. So, when I reach Founder’s Circle in my business, I’ll take that as evidence that I’ve made a huge impact.
I want people to know that they have the capacity to do more, no matter how old they are. Anything is possible, at any stage and at any age. It’s never too late to change direction. I want to be an example for others: an example of living life to the fullest, paying it forward, and taking care of yourself. I’m grateful to my family, especially my children and my niece and her husband for being there for me every step of the way. I’ve stood with them, I’ve stood for them, and at times, it felt like I was standing on them as I reached for new heights. It’s because of them that I do what I do. I want them to see that hard work and willingness to help others will take you far. I started over at 45, so I feel I have to accomplish more in a shorter period of time. At the end of my life, I want to know that I’ve absolutely maxed out everything I could possibly do while on this earth.
What’s your purpose or personal mission?
"I’m here to help people remove excuses from their vocabulary and to teach them to think big and dream even bigger"
*Atypical achievements shown from this Top 1% Distributor came from hard work, skill and dedication. Most people work part-time and typically earn around $200 in a month in their 1st year, before expenses. For more, see Herbalife.com/SAGC. People who replace two meals a day with Herbalife Nutrition Formula 1 as part of a healthy lifestyle (such as lowering caloric intake, eating a healthy, balanced diet or engaging in regular physical activity), can generally expect to lose around half a pound to 1 pound per week.

given that opportunity, you don't say no.
I will say life isn’t always sunshine and rainbows, as we’ve had our fair share of challenges along the way. While in the midst of working toward various milestones over the years, we’ve hit some major bumps in the road like losing what would have been our second born at 10 weeks and Deanna’s dear grandma passing later. Nothing can prepare you for those hardships, but they are a reminder that life is too short to not live it on your own terms. We do what we do so we can show our sons, Lincoln and Weston, that you can do unbelievable things in this life if you work hard and believe in yourself. It’s important to remember that everything happens for us not to us, so we keep pressing forward, spreading positivity.

Brandee
I walked into a Nutrition Club run by Shannon J., my President's Team upline. I’ve also been running a gym for the past 16 years with another Herbalife Nutrition Independent Distributor in Shannon’s downline. Both of them said there was this opportunity and introduced me to the products, and they also mentioned a Weight Loss Challenge taking place in January. I ended up winning the Challenge, but I also fell in love with the teas.*
"Remember your why."
Being a Distributor is one of the best feelings. People walk into your Nutrition Club and you're able to help change their lives little by little. When you go to a training, you don't know anybody's past or what they've been through. What you do know is we're one huge family who supports each other while running our businesses. A couple of years ago my mom was diagnosed with breast cancer. The Herbalife Nutrition business opportunity allowed me to be by my mom's side every step of the way, including every day she had radiation. My sister, who works for a corporate company, did not have the flexibility to be by her side. That was a huge turning point for me.
What’s it like to be a Distributor?
"People depend on Distributors more than we realize."
While a lot of people want to do the business on the products side or start as a Preferred Member, I wanted to open a Nutrition Club. I opened my first Club in Perkins, Oklahoma, and soon thereafter I opened in Cushing, Oklahoma. In October 2020, I opened my third Nutrition Club in Florida. That's where my business took off and where I made Active World Team and then Global Expansion Team.
Tell us more about your business. How did you get to where you are today?
"The trainings are what keep me going."
"People walk into your Nutrition Club and you're able to help change their lives little by little."
You don't know who needs you. People depend on Distributors more than we realize. You're not only improving their lives with the best products. A simple conversation behind the bar at your Nutrition Club or in the checkout line can impact someone’s day or week.
What have you learned about yourself since becoming a Distributor?
My biggest goal is to see who my first Diamond will be. I'm more excited about that than walking across the stage and being pinned as President's Team knowing they are the reason along with the rest of my team why I am on that stage.
Coaching is a huge part of my life. I became a tumbling and competitive cheer coach right out of high school. On my team, we wear one-piece uniforms because I will not allow my kids to be made fun of because they don't have the body type to be a cheerleader. We do have makeup, but it’s very simple. I never want my kids to think they have to wear a certain outfit or look a certain way to be successful or beautiful; they are beautiful. I also make them realize that they're a team. Whenever they all come together, I really make sure we celebrate each other's accomplishments. That's why I hold being a Distributor so close to my heart, because we have to cheer each other on. I don't care if they're in a whole other country if they did an extra pin level. I know what it's like to battle that pin level. I know how hard it is to get there.
When you’re not operating three Nutrition Clubs, you’re a cheerleading coach. Could you tell us more about that and what sets your team apart?
Be true to yourself. People will love you for who you are.
What’s the best business advice you've received?
From 2008 to 2013, I learned from Jim Rohn’s videos and worked on my personal development; so when I came to the United States, I was ready for anything. I knew the stories, I saw the vision, and I fell in love with our purpose. I had visited the United States a lot when I worked for the airline, so I already knew the American story. I saw the opportunity and I knew the community, so I decided that I was going to make this happen.
Describe those early years as a Distributor.
I reached President’s Team without a car.
What motivated you through these ups and downs?
The trainings are what keep me going. Whether it's a corporate event or a local training, listening to the testimonies are what I live for. When I hear the guest speaker talk about what they’ve gone through, it makes me feel like I’m not alone.
What keeps you motivated?
I have a sticker on my rearview mirror that says, "Remember your why." In life we're always looking behind us. So even though I'm looking behind me in my rearview mirror, I'm actually looking at my sticker remembering why I'm looking forward.
What's your mantra or words you live by?
That I did it for myself.
What do you want your legacy to be?

Again, while attending events does not guarantee success, we are seeing positive trends related to event attendance. In fact, our initial research of a sample of Distributors who attended an April 2022 U.S. event revealed improved activity and productivity rates of 8% and 10%, respectively in May and June 2022, when compared to a sample of similarly matched Distributors who did not attend this event. While it is possible these improved rates are attributable to other factors, our research suggests that in-person events are impacting engagement and that is important in any business. With so many great benefits, the time to attend in-person events is now! The Future President’s Team Retreat and January Kickoff are two amazing in-person events happening in just a few months and are a great opportunity to start 2023 off strong!
